Questions from the Shrew in the Tree

Where does Kate go on her days away from the house?  Why does she need so much luggage to be gone for three to three and a half days?  Why does she now go grocery shopping and to do all those errands that she avoided for about four or more years and why does she wear heels to do them?

Has her "cookbook" gotten the final ax?  It seems to have dropped completely off Amazon.

How long has TLC known they were going to be announcing a separation?  They already have the museum filmed where Kate took the kids "by herself" along with all that NC film at the beach with Kate "by herself" again.  It was funny to the shrew that the OCC shows didn't show nearly as much frost by Kate as the Crooked Houses did although OCC was filmed later.

It looks like Kate again gives the lie to this being the realist reality show out there.  It just might qualify as one of the fakest at least on TLC.

Kate is no longer on the list for one of her remaining speaking engagements and the shrew can't locate any new ones being booked.  If the cookbook is indeed dead in the water and the show is on hiatus from filming what will Kate do with herself?  She's going to have to stay home and mother the kids?  It seems those lavish trips she had planned for this summer are also long gone dreams.   She'll probably be spending quite a bit of time with her lawyer and possibly Jon and his lawyer.  Please don't let the TLC cameras in there.  Really there are things we don't need to see.

Something the shrew in the tree would like to see?  A guardian ad litem appointed for the kids in the divorce proceedings to set limits on filming, to see that trust accounts are set up for their share of the earnings of the TV show and possibly the second book, and for their parents to be told counseling is mandatory for both along with parenting classes and family visitation.

Yes, the shrew likes to dream.  Add your questions and dreams to the shrew's or give the poor worn-out shrew in the tree some answers.

The Alleged Surprise Episode and Where Is Kate?

Anyone think we'll really get a surprise tomorrow or 30 minutes or so of the Crooked House product placement plus 30 minutes of Kate's crocodile tears, throwing Jon under the bus, and some clips thrown together?

Kate is rumored to have not been seen since Friday. Where has she gone and why have we had no photos of her? She should have kept her mouth shut about Jon missing her birthday after all since it's now become very obvious that they were already separated.

Supposedly in Star this week

The previews are out for the "entertainment magazines" this week.

Kate Gosselin was caught kissing her bodyguard, Steve Neild, by her daughter Mady. While on vacation, Kate thought the kids were asleep, and she and Steve were talking in her bedroom. Mady came to the door and saw them “share a quick, gentle kiss.” Mady started crying and ran to tell her sister, Cara. According to the mag, “It was far too much for a child of 8 to process.”

It Won't Happen, but Kate Should Learn to Shutup

Latest People article.

As scandalous headlines continue to surround Kate Gosselin, her husband Jon, and their eight kids, the fed-up reality star is wondering when people will stop attacking her.

Perhaps when she gets herself and her family off the danged TV?

Everywhere you go you're being stalked, you're being followed – it's hell, on the cover of a magazine.

Be careful what you ask for, you just might get it or in other words Karma she be a bitch.

In the first two and a half years that we were doing the show (Jon & Kate Plus Eight), I felt very ugly towards fans

Too bad it really hasn't changed all that much no matter what lie Kate spews forth that was written by her PR people.

'Okay, people are pulling for us, the feel inspired by us, they love us. It clicked: without the fans there is no show, without the show, there is no job."

Uh, Kate, unlike that poor dimwitted reporter the other day who whined that if the show ended how would you provide for the kids, some of us know that there are other jobs out there besides putting your children on TV to support yourself in your Cole Haan shoe buying habit. You can be a nurse! Oh, yeah, you were one and your license is still current. Really, a TV show isn't the only way to support the eight kids you brought into the world. It might be the only way to support the lavish lifestyle you crave though. I have a clue for you - no TV show lasts forever so quit spending like a lottery winner.

"It's so scary," she says of the lengths to which some go to cover her family. "It's like one of those movies where you have to change your identity and go underground. I've been saying, 'Let's find a country where our show doesn't air, and let's just go there until this all dies.' I have to laugh about this, or else I'll cry. It's a matter of, when will they stop?"

I might have believed a tiny bit of this if she hadn't spent the last week out and about more than she had been in a year showing off for the paps. When did Kate last buy house products? Her assistant has been doing it or Jon. How about if it's so scary why did you shoot the fifth birthday episode in a public park where you and TLC knew the paps would be able to hang out instead of at home on the 20+ acre spread where you could control access?

No matter what might be said about her, Kate says if anyone really wants to see her bare her fangs, they only have to go after her kids. "I don't want them dragged into this. It kills me," she says. "I'm far from perfect, but I've started to prioritize what is important, what has to change, what I can live with, and what I have to live with. My children are important. My attitude is important. My marriage is important, and though I don't know where that's going right now, I know I can definitely choose my attitude. And I know that I will never give up, I will not stop, I will not fail my kids. Everything else I can't control, I'm just going to have to learn to live with it."

I have two things to say about Kate and the kids. No one else has to go after the kids, Kate does enough of that all on her own. Why did you keep on filming after Facebook pages and blogs were set up mocking some of your children? Wasn't that a clue that the kids were being harmed and it was time to end the madness? It's only after people show your flaws that you get your undies in a bunch?

Her children, attitude, and marriage are important? We've seen the kids are so important that through the scandal breaking she was home about nine days out of 30. Her attitude? Please don't get any more "attitude" than you already have, Kate. Diva is as diva does. Your marriage? The one you told Jon was dead last fall? That no longer a marriage that you killed long before you tried to bury it?

The one line in the whole story that I believe is this one: I will never give up, I will not stop.

TLC will be the ones to pull the plug and end the charade of reality. Kate has neither the sense nor the caring for anyone else to do it. She's addicted to the nonsense the babymamas of the world spout about her. Time to leave fantasyland, Kate.

More Words from the Shrew in the Tree

The kids all need passports for some scheduled summer fun - being dragged to Korea, China, and possibly Africa. Isn't that what all five year olds long for? Hours and hours long airplane rides to places with unfamiliar food, language, and customs? Kate must have what Kate wants and she wants those expensive trips as long as they're free to her.

Kate on the Tup's Fifth Birthday

Yes, this is how the model mother who is an example acts when a child who is years past tantrum age has a fit.

What Changed from the first to the second picture

Hm, what has changed here? Was it while Kate spent all that time in LA?

Why is he carrying the handbag?

Who is Mr. Gray and why is he carrying Kate's purse? He's shown as her bodyguard, but how many body guards carry the person's purse when she isn't carrying anything but a bottle of water?

Looks Like the You Know What Has Hit the Fan

First it was rumors but now the media is running with the story of Jon going out without Kate.

The Star and Us Weekly hit the stands with articles.

Puppies, 2/23

I'm happy for the kids that they get to play with puppies. I feel sorry for the puppies to be put into the chaos of those eight kids especially the tups. I wonder if Jon and Kate know at all how to treat and train the puppies. There are already rumors afloat that the puppies were only temporary. I guess we'll know in a few months.

What do you think of the latest rumors on the internet?

Do you believe or not? Has Jon really checked out on the marriage and possibly the show or are people just spreading stories?

New episode Feb 16 Free Furniture and Watching Paint Get Smeared and Dry

Tonight we see Katie's freebie loving heart be warmed by free furniture from Lane (the company laying off a goodly percentage of it's workforce) and the kids smearing paint on a wall. First, I hope the furniture Kate gets is production excess because of the economy and that TLC had the professional painter already scheduled to repaint that room and the new carpet was ready to be put down.

Freebies coordinated by TLC's marketing department and staged drama planned by the producers. What's not to love?

Walk in the Woods, Monday, February 9

Kate is gone on business and it appears Jon and the kids explore the property. I hope the kids have a good time and get to play like normal kids. I hope Jon teaches the kids boundaries of how far into the woods they are allowed to go on their own.

The House Continues and Kate Speaks

This week Kate's PR team went into overdrive "handling" the birth of octuplets in California. Now Kate says she "practically" had octuplets by having had twins years before having the sextuplets. Imagine all the women who have practically had twins, triplets, quadruplets, etc. Not to mention add up all the children the octuplet mother has had in the last 3 1/2 years and she had "practically" ten or eleven?

Note to PR team: leave the kids at home next time. They aren't exactly helping Kate's image as a mother to be giving parenting advice on national TV.

This week we get more house as they actually move in. Then we have an episode of Jon with the kids while Kate is on another junket. And...when you think TLC can't drag it out anymore there is yet a fourth episode on the new house coming up. TLC's model for sweeps seems to be pick a theme and drag it out for as many episodes as possible.

A Youtube Video That I Hadn't Seen

Someone has a video that at least so far has not made the show. It shows Kate as some of the people who know her in person say she is regularly and may explain why someone who knows her says the show gives us the "best of Kate."

The New House

The previous post leads into this one. I hope the lack of ideas is either the beginning of the end or a sign of the end. The Gosselins moving into a new house is very likely the end of this blog. What started as a charming story of young parents with two sets of multiples and a seemingly harried life (the helpers were mostly hidden then) clipping coupons and carefully shopping was appealing. Kate after "she has moved on up" is not appealing and is actually offensive to me in her reported rudeness to people and the way she acts like she is above everyone else and even stooping to do the show is such a bore. The last few couch sessions I've been expecting to see her outright yawn or ask aren't we done yet?

So for me the cap on this show would be seeing the Gosselins move into the rumored 6200 square foot house on 24 acres having achieved their dreams of a big fine house with way more than enough room for them all. After this all talk of coupon clipping, economical soup making, and such will be revealed as the sham that it is and has been for a long time. Time to give it up for them and I believe for me.

So sometime shortly after "The Big House" airs, I'll be moving along to new ventures.
